Important Portion of China’s First Province-Wide Double-Ring UHV Grid

The project is the first UHV transmission line in the world serving for nuclear power transmission and directly connected with nuclear power plant, and also an important portion of the first province-wide UHV double-ring structure in China. The completion and operation of the project would make the grid more stable and flexible for green power transmission. The project is also the first UHV transmission line in China crossing the sea and mountain, which the construction was carried out on mountainous and sea areas at the same time. (Source: CCTV.com)

Yantai-Weihai Ultra Voltage Project including the erection of a 1000kV switching station, 1,197km of 1000kV transmission line, 2,124 transmission towers (among which 822 towers erected on mountainous area and 17 towers erected in sea area), and the extension of 2 1000kV substation. As a long-term supplier of State Grid, Shandong Guangda Line Equipment Co., Ltd. supplied the project with power fittings including 1000kV tension sets, suspension sets, spacers, vibration dampers, shielding rings etc., with contractual amount over USD3.5 million. The Company has implanted stringent quality control, overcome difficulties such as multiple small-batches and extremely tight time schedule, co-operated closely with on-site supervision engineer, and successfully delivered goods in time as required, to make sure the on-time completion of the project.
