(27 August 2026, Shandong) Shandong Guangda Line Equipment Co., Ltd., has signed an agreement with OJSC “TGEM”, for the supply of fittings for 220kV substation of a 250MW photovoltaic power plant in Jayhun District, Khatlon Region of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The project is a part of Tajikistan’s first large-scale solar energy project which includes two photovoltaic power plants:
- A 250MW photovoltaic power plant in the Asht district of Sughd Region;
- A 250MW photovoltaic power plant in the Jayhun District of Khatlon Region.

With total investment estimated at $250 million, these new facilities are expected to play a crucial role in mitigating seasonal electricity shortages. Tajikistan, which relies heavily on hydropower, frequently faces deficits during the winter months. The introduction of solar generation capacity will ease pressure on existing hydroelectric resources, improving the reliability of electricity supply for both households and businesses. The contract including supplying various of compression type T-connectors, apparatus clamps, spacers, tension strings and busbar supports for Chinese ACSR 400/35, ACSR 400/50 and Russian AC 400/51 conductors.
